Feel The Surf

Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Loop Software collects, uses, stores and shares information when you use the Feel The Surf (Surf.) mobile application.

Last updated: 5 September 2026

Who we are

Feel The Surf is operated by Loop Software (Loop Yazılım). For privacy questions, contact us at info@loopyazilim.net. Our main office is in Bilişim Vadisi, Kocaeli, Türkiye.

Surf. shows one short daily message on a wallpaper. You can export it as an image, add it as a widget, receive one optional daily reminder and, if you own a Surf piece, read the private signal carried inside it.

Information we collect

There is no account and no sign-up. We do not ask for your name, email address or phone number, and we never receive them.

Daily messages: the app downloads the published message list from our content server over HTTPS. That request carries only the standard technical data any web request carries (your IP address, request time, app version), which appears in our server logs for a short period for security and error diagnostics. We do not build a profile from it.

Your preferences: language, wallpaper tone, reminder time and widget style are stored only on your device (and in the shared storage that lets the widget read them). They are never sent to us.

We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, health data, or analytics about how you use the app. The only third-party SDK in the app is Google AdMob, described in the Advertising section below.

Photos, clipboard and notifications

When you tap Download, the app asks iOS for permission to add the rendered wallpaper to your Photos library. That permission is add-only: the app cannot read your existing photos. The image is created entirely on your device.

Copy text PNG places a transparent image of the day’s message on your clipboard. Nothing leaves your device.

The daily reminder is a local notification scheduled on your device at the time you choose. It does not use push servers and we do not know whether it is enabled.

Advertising

Surf. is free and shows ads served by Google AdMob: a small banner on the Today and scan screens, and occasionally a full-screen ad after you export or copy a message. Ads are requested as non-personalized: the app does not ask iOS for permission to track you and does not use the advertising identifier for tracking across other apps.

To serve an ad, Google receives technical information from your device such as the device model, operating system version, approximate location derived from your IP address and an advertising identifier. This happens inside Google’s ad SDK; we do not see or store it. Google’s privacy policy governs that data: https://policies.google.com/privacy

NFC and private signals

Scan a piece uses your iPhone’s NFC reader, only while you hold the phone near a Surf piece and only after you start the scan. The app reads the short tag inside the piece to open its private signal. The scan happens on your device; we do not record which pieces you scan or when.

Data retention

Server logs are kept for a limited period for security and troubleshooting and are then deleted. Everything else described above lives on your device and is removed when you delete the app.

Children

Feel The Surf is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, we will publish the new version on this page with an updated date.
